Mona Naghib

Mona lived in a little village called Aspeech in Sarawan. One day she was going to school with her sister Maryam when security forces opened fire on the car they were in.

They got off the car and started to run away. No one realised she was shot. Mona was too slow. Maryam Asked Mona to “Hurry up!”

Mona couldn’t, she said, “I think a bullet beat me.” As if the bullet is a person and decided to beat her. After all, she was only 8.

Maryam held Mona and ran toward a nearby clinic. She couldn’t reach the clinic; after all, she was only 10. 

Mona died in Maryam’s arms. She is one of the youngest children being murdered by the Islamic Regime in the 2022 Revolution.

All those responsible for her death will be held accountable for their crime.
