Mahan Sedarat

Mahan Sedarat has been arrested in protests. The regime has declared, via the charade they call ‘court’ that they want to murder him. Again, all is a ploy to scare Iranian people. They want to execute as many as they can, and in this case, they have used a new trick to dodge the responsibility. They have found two of their agents, claiming Mahan has attacked them in the street. And the agent of the regime bearing the title of ‘judge’ sentenced Mahan to death. Even according to the inhumane law practised in Iran, also known as Sharia law, the penalty for attacking somebody is never executed. But the regime, at this stage, is beyond caring about such issues. They even did not let him have an independent lawyer. They set one of their agents as his ‘lawyer’, which acted more as an assistant to the regime’s prosecutor rather than anything resembling a lawyer who has the best interests of his client in mind.

To add to the farcical state of this circus they call a court, one of their agents who appeared as a claimant seems to have a second thoughts about it. Hard to believe, but seems that the agent still has something of a conscious left. It seems they have lied to him and did not tell him that they plan to execute Mahan, using the performance he is going to put for the ‘court’. And now he says he wants to retract his statements. But the regime is not bothered by such things at this stage. They have a thirst for blood, and they want to kill Mahan and many more people like Mahan. They already have the blood of thousands of Iranians on their hands, and they will keep killing the Iranian youth just to hold on to power for a few days more.

To make the whole affair even more heart-breaking, his girlfriend has released the phone call she had with him, while he is in prison and after they told Mahan they are going to kill him. He tries to calm his girlfriend and tells her: “Don’t worry darling. Nothing would happen. I’d be out in a couple of weeks. Don’t worry!”.

Please be his voice! Please say his name! Mahan needs our help.
